Good Morning SNOAC Community,
I hope you have been well! As a reminder, our next meeting is Thursday, November 2nd at 10am and will be available in a hybrid format (virtual and in person). Virtually you can access the meeting via Webex or in-person at Roseman University (*NEW ADDRESS* 3755 Breakthrough Way, Las Vegas, 89135). In the meantime, please see some community ad-hoc updates:
**Funding Opportunity**
DHHS/DO Notice of Funding Opportunity Youth Program
About: This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is intended to solicit applications for the Fund for a Resilient Nevada (FRN), Opioid Recoveries, Youth Programs. The Nevada Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Director's Office is responsible for administering the FRN to supplement and not supplant existing funding focused on opioid abatement in Nevada.
The Director's Office reserves the right to utilize this NOFO for other state or federal subgrant funding that may become available for the abatement of the opioid epidemic, for a period not to exceed four (4) years, in compliance with both federal and state procurement limitations.
FRN is established in Nevada Revised Statutes (NRS) 433.712 through 433.744, and funding is guided by the required Opioid Statewide Needs Assessment Plan: Nevada Opioid Needs Assessment and Statewide Plan2022 (nv.gov). Funding will not be available for any activities not specifically identified in the Plan.Deadline for questions: On or before October 30, 2023, 3:00 p.m. PDT
Must be submitted to FRN@dhhs.nv.gov with FRN NOFO YOUTH in the subject line of the email.
Deadline to submit: Monday, December 4th, 2023 at 3pm

National Overdose Prevention Leadership Summit
When: November 16-17, 2023

About: The National Overdose Prevention Leadership Summit (NOPLS) is an annual virtual event that highlights real solutions to the overdose crisis that bridge justice, health care, and public health sectors.
