    • ReCon: 2024 (Black Monday Expanded)

      • About: We are thrilled to announce that our remarkable progress on Black Monday has propelled us to unprecedented heights. We're delighted to inform you that Black Monday will undergo a transformation, emerging as "ReCon: Recovery Conference." ReCon will encompass morning sessions that include: Continuing Education Units (CEUs), Professional Development Credits (PDs), Continuing Medical Credits (CMEs), a grief workshop, and a recovery wellness workshop. Following these enriching morning sessions, we will continue to feature the cherished elements of our traditional Black Monday programming. vendors at ReCon.     • Social Determinants of Health and HIV-Related Health Equity Training Program

      • When: February 26th from 10a-4p

      • Where: Southern Nevada Health District (280 S Decatur Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89107)

      • About: The purpose of this activity is to present key concepts related to social determinants of health and health equity. The participants will be provided an overview of key concepts and given an opportunity to look at the connection between HIV-related disparities and social determinants of health. Lunch will be provided. CME & CEU will be available for participants.

    • Harm Reduction 101: The Basics of Harm Reduction

      • When: February 27th from 8a-12p

      • Where: Virtual via Webex

      • About: This interactive adult training provides participants with an in-depth overview of harm reduction concepts. This workshop provides a foundation in the philosophy, principles, and practices of harm reduction in the context of the United States. Participants will learn more tools to understand the different types and levels of harm. Our goal is that through guided discussion and activities, participants will develop practical skills and increased knowledge to use in their work with people who currently are or formerly have used drugs, with an emphasis on injection drug use.

    • Harm Reduction 201: Understanding Drug-Related Stigma

      • When: March 12th 8a-12p

      • About: This training takes a critical look at the history of the substance misuse movement and its impact on recovery and health equity in our community. This workshop will introduce the concepts of social inequalities faced by people who use drugs, the stigma they experience, and how this impacts their ability to access services.

    • 2024 American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence, Inc. Conference: “Treating Opioid Use Disorder: So Much More Than Medication”

      • When: May 18-22 varying start and end times each day

      • About: The workshop lineup will include state of the art information on diverse areas of focus such as patient care and best practices, building community partnerships and collaborations, public policy and regulatory changes, workforce development, quality assurance, and financial reimbursement. There will be workshops that focus on emerging treatment trends and developments such as the fentanyl epidemic, mobile opioid treatment programs, regulatory changes, expansion of treatment services in rural areas, integrating treatment with the corrections systems, and integrating harm reduction initiatives. For those newer to the field or those who want a refresher on the basics, we have once again included a “Foundations” track which will include selections on the fundamentals of medication assisted treatment.
