International Overdose Awareness Day

  • The Center 401 South Maryland Parkway Las Vegas, NV, 89101 United States (map)

Cost: Free and Open to the Public

About: This year's event will be focus on a vigil and a community resource fair relating to and helping prevent overdoses in the Las Vegas area.

The vigil this year will include music, a space for candles, ribbons, and photos as well as a reading of the names. We encourage anyone who has been impacted by or lost someone to overdose to bring a picture for the vigil.

We will have trainings for Naloxone, Fentanyl Test Strips, and Xylazine Test Strips. Those who attend the trainings will be able to receive these. We strongly encourage anyone who thinks they need these items or knows someone in their life who should have them to attend. Xylazine has arrived in Las Vegas and this is a great opportunity to learn about it's dangers and how to avoid harm from it.

Please register ahead of time to ensure a food ticket is held for you. The first 100 general admissions will receive one when they check in. We will have door prizes this year instead of a silent auction. Please stop by the registration table when you arrive to receive your ticket for the prizes.

We are in a smaller venue this year so please register soon if you would like a table at the resource fair. Table will come with 2 chairs and 2 food tickets. We strongly encourage any vendors sending more than 2 people to register them as general attendees to guarantee space and food.
